The Lopez Cell Therapy Lab at MGH began as a full gut renovation of a portion of White 5 and is centered around a brand new, state-of-the-art ISO 7 Clean Room.  An existing rooftop air handler was completely refitted as well, all the while critical hospital spaces were supplied with temporary air from an alternative AHU.  As White is one of the older buildings within the MGH Main Campus, low ceiling heights and MEPS coordination were expertly navigated by F.L. Caulfield & Sons, Inc., and the MEPS trades.  Throughout the project, numerous critical services handling adjacent parts of the hospital were temporarily shut down and restarted with the assistance of MGH Building & Grounds.  All said and done, The Lopez Cell Therapy Lab within the Neurosurgery Department will provide cutting-edge research for years to come.
