F.L. Caulfield & Sons managed a 60,000 SF renovation in Cambridge on behalf of Foundation Medicine, a research company at the forefront of cancer treatments. The project was spread over two floors and consisted of office and lab space. The client wanted this space completed in an extremely aggressive manner and FLC met the challenge, completing the space within four months. The project had numerous obstacles and required FLC to work closely with the city of Cambridge and its residences as the site abutted a residential area. As with any successful project, the construction team, including FLC, Foundation Medicine, architects, engineers, and sub-contractors all worked in collaboration to achieve a finished product that satisfies the needs of Foundation Medicine’s employees and their efforts to further cancer research.
